Liberation of Paris (1944)

On August 25th, 1944 after 4 years of occupation, the French tricolore was hoisted once again over Paris. General DeGaulle lead an impromptu victory march through the capital. However, the day wasn't straightforward as German snipers fired at the Parisian crowds who were celebrating.
